“We would like to thank you for the EXCEPTIONAL service that you provided for us on our wedding day. First and foremost the food was absolutely delicious. All of our guests individually remarked on how good the food was and many said it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding. Secondly, the service you and your staff provided was second to none. When the Boathouse was damaged two weeks before the wedding and we had to find an alternative venue you offered kind words and even suggested some other venue options for us. You offered so many food options and catered to all of our guests needs. When we rang you the night before the wedding to say we had a surprise guest who we needed to add to the list you did so without hesitation. We really felt that you had everything covered and could adapt to any situation that arose. Then when we met you on the morning of the wedding and explained the drama of having to change our ceremony venue you offered to move our already set tables in Fairfield to the courtyard for us (weather dependant) while we went offsite to take photos so we could have the dinner al fresco, which was what we really wanted. This was outside of your duties and you did it anyway and I don’t think it was an easy task. We were so incredibly touched by your kindness and willingness to make our day the best it could be. Our eyes lit up when we arrived back to Fairfield house. Having our dinner in the courtyard provided a spectacular setting and for us it made the day. Lastly, the staff you had as part of your team were fantastic. They were friendly, very helpful and provided an excellent service. We even think that at one point you sent a staff member out to get us some more ice for the bar. Everything was just fantastic Carol and we cannot thank you enough. We will recommend you highly to any bride we encounter who is getting married in the Nelson region.”
